A little bird tells me that the reason the fuss over the city purchasing land to give to an expansion of the Ford dealership may be that they are looking south... south of I-74, to be more precise.
Ok, it was an old bird, and not really little. Full grown.
And also that the other new-car dealer in town may be looking that way, too.

Hey Techguy,

What part south of 74? You talking about south by bowmen or by gilbert? or in between. I haven't heard about this. Is there a link to a story or could you fill in the blanks.

Also, welcome to the forums

South as in Tilton, along G-town road.

So they are buying the property so they can annex it into Danville right. Are they giving or selling the property to the dealership?

Golly, it's been a long time since I was able to say these words, "sorry to butt in", but I wonder if those guys like to "cluster" together so that if someone goes down there to try a Toyota, if the other dealers are nearby, that's a temptation to see something else??

(If I read or hear some info about the city deal, I'll chime in.)

That's the extent of my "knowledge". I know of no land deals, etc. And I agree with Oliver, they like to cluster.

Yea it seems like the car lots always cluster themselves. Keep us up to date if any more info comes up
