Well, that is false. It was Jessica "Later Featured In Playboy and a Video" Hahn. Monica was only 14 back then so you'd think that would've stopped old Jimmy. (?)

t/f: At a peak in his comeback, Roy Orbison died at age 52 in 1968.

That is false. Not sure what year he died, but possibley in the late 90s possibly later? He was part of the Traveling Wilburys group in the late 80s or close to that time period.

You're right, it was much later than '68,,,it was '88.

False-they can quack and flap their little wings, but that's about it.

These t/f questions are now the highlight of your day?

Sunday

Do you remember who ran as VP on the ticket with Pres. candidate Bob Dole? And whom did Dole run against?  (I'll have to look up the 1st one!)

Started a Hemingway novel I'd never heard of, "The Garden of Eden". (kinda racey, considering he started it in the prudish 40s, never did live to see it published)

Enjoy.

Happy Prez. Day (however I heard on an ad or something it is not offically such--it is still in honor of Geo. Wash.--funny, we always were told the 22nd was his b-day)

Now then, in your lifetime, who was your fav. Pres. and least fav.?

I'll think about it.

It is beginning to look like enjoydanville is going to be history. There has been some sort of technical message on the site for a few days now.

And the Bravenet Guestbook will not be continued.

I do see a few viewer numbers on this forum, so it's still kicking---barely. The non-forum part is frozen back in Aug. '08.....But the weather info is current.....

Maybe I should do the honorable thing and fade away so DComer can save the money..I'd hate to think it was for me he's kept it, as egotistical as that sounds. I mean, I did copy basically what I wanted to last Nov. when it winked out for a day or so......I had really thought (I'm an optimist) that it could've picked up a following again, but the reality must be that it won't. There would seem to be no pressing need for this (and a lot of other inactive forums, I dare say) since you can see what little goes on here now.

This was an active place when I entered, or rather as I recall, re-entered in Dec. '06. I think some of the posters enjoyed the place and the other posters. I was simply enjoying my usual rambling, and at some point the place was being vacated for reasons still unknown to me today. At some point during that I took the opportunity over a few days, mind you, to put a post on all the threads and announced it over on a few forums. Why? To draw attn. to the inactivity when they'd see only my pathetic name on here. I thought it might draw some activity as a result.

Well, someone with some "authority", not Dcomer, of course, decided my "stunt" was "flooding" an inactive forum and deleted ALL of them, apparently about 60, dismissing them ALL as with NO MERIT... Nope. I'll never forget that. Because it was so, er, idiotic! And I found out the joker was someone on another forum who tried to present such a measured, wise, oh-so-kind image,,and he was nothing but a snake itching to use his fangs.....But, that's life. Some posters/readers, in their shallow thinking apparently saw me as totally wrapped up in only my own little world when the fact is, I have never taken myself that seriously, certainly not like the joker who just "had" to do his "duty".

Anyway, I'll think some on what to do or not do here. It would mean nothing to most I realize. I may end up simply trying to scan through some of my 2100, oh-so-wise-and-entertaining posts. Ego aside, I think some of my ad-libs were not all that bad. I believe I felt sort of an inspiration in the beginning and it's not quite there now.
At least it is not the same. But that's life.

May we all have a peaceful, meaningful, gorgeous and glorious spring, summer, fall , winter, year, decade and life!

I'll always be online somewhere.......

Hi Oliver!.. thought I would check in to see how things are going, or if the forum is still around.. I must admit, I've become totally addicted to facebook, a.k.a., Farmville.. Several friends suggested I try it, I didn't care for it in the beginning, but now.. ever single spare minute is spent farming.. haha.. I'm glad spring is here, maybe that will break my addiction..

Hope all is well with you!!

Hi, CG. Yes, nobody here but us Ghosts, and Ahs about the last Ghost standing. This forum will always be a special one for me. For the "life" of me, I cannot see why some of the activity did not return beyond you, Hhop and me, though, since it was ONLY me for so many months, that was probably a turnoff for anyone so inclined.

Anyway, I've copied much of what I wanted and don't know how much money young dcomer is out here, but, I really thought simply to abandon it would help his decision to pull the switch.

I, too, check into facebook, though it taxes my slooooow dial-up...The new enjoydanville has promise but time will tell. Frankly, I think all this online stuff must be getting old for some, the nastiness turned off the rest and maybe there are other activities for still others. I still enjoy sharing a few lines.

You know, I somehow think I've seen your Fbk posts, but not lately. We must have a Fbk friend in common, or did. (Just tonite I discovered one rather young person deleted me. Then I found out from someone else that she had deleted them, too.)

Whoops! 2 AM!

NOTE: This spot MAY become ACTIVE again! However, before you get ALL of your hopes up and then accuse me of leading you on, let me give a fair appraisal of the situation:

I'd speculate reasonably that there's about a 1/30,000,000 chance of there EVER being any significant posting (other than mine, of course) here again.  Still, ya gotta like them odds!

Gee, I didn't mean to tax your thinking with my question from yesterday. Answering it is no really big deal. I'll let it stand unanswered for the time being. But, mind you, when you beg and plead for the answer sometime within the next 61 years, as I approach 122 and hopefully will become the OLDEST ever recorded human bean to beat the record, hey, by then I MAY have forgotten the correct answer. Of course, you COULD probably find out the answer some other way. Just don't lose any sleep worrying about it, please!
