I'm here to make sure no other group claims this spot and takes over!!

Ah, to have a mission in life can NOT be beat!

So, whiles we await the others to arrive at this spot I humbly think of as  "Oliver's Island", let me ask you a question I know you've been asked many, many times before, and will probably be annoyed by my asking you yet again, but, it would mean an awful lot to me to know if you can still snap your fingers? You needn't go into any long, drawn out posts as I usually do, but before I offer my unending post on the matter, just a general idea from you would be perfectly fine. I'd also want to know if by chance you never did have occasion to snap your fingers, a "virgin" non-snapper, so to speak. I have a rarely used column in my data notebook I use to note for non-snappers. They ARE rare, however.

So, in parting for this splenda time, let's all muse about what will happen next Sept. 26th.

Regards,

Just a quick pop in....

I have been online reading about the new hockey team that is coming to Danville. It seems that it should be announced locally; as it is posted on the hockey web sites and blogs. Perhaps they are waiting until it is announced that the Danville Inferno is leaving; and then do a quick follow up regarding the new, improved team coming to town..... or perhaps they are not aware of how many people in the hockey community already know of it.

Anyway; just my quick commentary on the game I love to watch and play....

good night all..........working in the Eastern Time Zone means off to bed earlier...

Glad to hear from you Hhop. That sounds like good hockey news to me.

Now if only the girls could make it over here, where there's no viruses, we'd all be together again.

Good evening to all in EDST and CDST!

SSB? CW? Are you April Fooling me about operating!?

My last hey-day was dxing in 78 around a sunspot cycle peak. (not to be confused with a "cycle peek" which involves any quick glance at female legs pedaling a 2-wheeler)(which hardly even happens once every 11 yrs. from my observations)   78+11 is 89. 89+11 is 00 (2000) and add 11 to that means the peak would be next year. Last I knew the Hot Water 101 would turn on...Know if only that dummy load would serve as a good antenna, why, I'd be all set to go again!!

Gosh, here it is only a few days away from the Haint's,,,,and,,,,I'm beginning to miss 'em so soon. And by the time Scoots and GA (if she will do it) registrations are completed I'll probably have forgotten what a computer, the internet and a forum ARE(!)

I don't think you ever answered my question about the hollow rf signal sound being due to the signal approaching from opposite sides of the world as the Boy Scout with Byrd book suggested.

Bump time here, so all for now from Oliver....At least the VC didn't have these bump strips!

I am feeling a gentle, ear-deafening roar in my ears from the VC forum....I never knew I'd miss it as I do now. With ALL the risks of viruses (or is that 'virueye'?) and Hain'ts and ALL, I think in this weak moment, I SHALL RETURN, as Gen. McArthur once proclaimed!

So, off I go. IF I am swallowed by some force hitherto unknown to me, well, that'll just show how firm my convictions are and ghastly unintelligent in addition.

Why do I have a feeling that some of my posts elsewhere online have been deleted? On one hand it is no big deal, unless I see a deliberate pattern. Yet, a few I'm thinking of were certainly not libelous, obscene, etc;-----as far as I can tell---and that sort of thing is never my intent. Guess I will chalk it up as "glitches"....Now, if the day comes I become aware of anyone who needs to delete my piffle, hey, that's the last time I will ever post where they can do that. Life is too short.

CALLING Dr. Pepper! CALLING Dr. Pepper! REport to the lounge IMMEDIATELY!
Dr. Scholl needs to consult with you about a patient with an obsession for sipping awful tasting soda from an old smelly tennis shoe!!

It's because you're wearing a big Tweedy Bird outfit and lugging around a 25 lb bag of birdseed.
