Speaking of a dreaded start to cell phone nuisance calls, just last night eldest mentioned she got a voice mail from an unknown number which asked if she wanted to pay the toll cost. I looked up the number (866 847 1251) and it appears to be a number for a prison/jail..Not sure..Put it in "Ask.com" and info comes up. It CAN be for legitimate purposes, if you want to speak with someone locked up,,,,$9 for up to 20 min.(?) but it can also be as a prank or possibly a scam....I just hope things like this don't start cropping up. According to info I've seen, cell phone numbers are NOT supposed to be the target of advertisers, scammers. etc;

I sense it is beginning to stay light a little later now. If any the clouds would once again move on, we might have a better idea around 5:20 PM. (If it were MY decision, I'd put the clocks up NOW,,,not sometime in March--elect me God and I'll do it, by golly!)

A road atlas..........something that will probably soon disappear forever as more and more people have their GPS navigating systems in their cars; leaving us without them to read old out of date road maps. Although Mapquest has pretty much replaced the road atlas for me.

Well, we will see what happens after I post this. I have been holding at 99 posts for a while. Will I be granted the honor of full membership?

That would be false. At that time in our history, the most common weapon was the atlal and dart.

A  bit of trivia; the atlatl and dart was used longer than any other weapons system so far. It was used for many thousands of years before the bow. There has been a revival in the making and use of the atlatl in the last ten years or so; for recreation. It may be a legal hunting weapon in some area, but not in Illinois. The online site that I spend most of my time, has an entire section devoted to the manufacture and use of it.

Probably a much more detailed answer than you expected............

Googled "atlal" (had never heard the term,,,or fogotten it completely) and those things could go over 60mph AND a football field in length (though I don't imagine they could hit a specific target that far away(?) Thanks, Hhop. Always good to become aware of something important and interesting.

Getting late again.....Did you hear a few rumbles of thunder late tonight? Must be rare for January in our neck of the woods.

Regards,

Is Bluebird related in some manner to Bluebeard??

Perhaps an alter ego?

An effeminate brother??

 Cheesy

That is TRUE. In fact, I have the fan that my great-great-great grandfather, "Block Head" Oliver passed down to me. I usually start dusting it off come June.

False. His first wife was Cynthia. He wrote the song Norwegian Wood while they were married, as a reference to his extramarrital flings.

 Ding! Ding! Ding! Correct!!

A fling? For real? I'd've never thought it!

t/f: Jim Bakker of the religious show PTL admitted to a 15 min. tryst ("fling") with Monica Lewinsky in 1987.
